Tiziano Suran

Tiziano obtained his PhD in 2019. His doctoral research focused on the neural mechanisms underlying the processing of emotionally salient social stimuli. Employing behavioral paradigms, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and electroencephalography, his work demonstrated differential patterns of brain activity in response to social versus non-social concepts. His analyses integrated advanced statistical modeling with machine learning methods to automatically identify neural activity patterns, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the “emotional brain” and its role in social cognition. Following the completion of his doctorate, Tiziano pursued a career in industry and is currently employed as a data scientist in the finance and technology sector.
